We all know someone whose social networking accounts have been hacked. This has led to the belief that Facebook, Twitter, and Google are easy to hack and that you just have to type a code to force the password. This is a huge mistake because any hacker with the means to hack Google or Facebook would have already been hired by the tech giants for an exorbitant salary.
Most hacking on social networks, and even hacking in general, is due to human error. Someone shared their information online or left their accounts unattended. Sometimes the password and username have been discovered using a public or insecure Wi-Fi connection, but even this information is not as important as the data passed to the hacker by the user. user.
Confidentiality and security of personal data
Protecting your information means acting anonymously online. If you really need a personal Facebook account to chat with your family members, make sure the account is as small as possible. You should never post your personal email address, private address, or phone number. You should not list your employers either, as this could be a route to other information stolen through this employer.
Second, you need to connect all your devices to the internet using a virtual private network that conceals the IP address assigned by your ISP, which is directly related to your name and address.
Finally, you must update all your devices to benefit from the latest security protocols and have reliable and professional anti-virus and anti-spyware software.
Use a VPN to protect your information
Using a private VPN connection is currently the best way to protect information that might be disclosed by your devices without your knowledge. This means that when you go to a website and access the content you are looking for, you will not send your own IP address, but you will be protected by the VPN.
Even though a truly private internet will never exist, you will still be able to freely access the web through your VPN provider to take full advantage of it. In addition, as no one will be able to monitor your internet activity, you will not be bothered by annoying ads, nor will you be vulnerable if the company collecting your data is attacked.
Conclusion
Although access to a fully confidential internet network is an unlikely thing, unless you have a local connection, it is quite possible to have a secure and free internet. Professional VPN providers like FlyVPN offer a wide range of services to make your internet presence as safe as possible. In addition, if you use precautionary measures to block hackers and other entities that collect your data, including search engines, you can be sure that your personal information, data, and devices will never be compromised.

VPN Security: How to check whether your VPN is leaking your IP address and how to stop it?
As we all know, VPN is a software to secure our online data and information as well as protect our online privacy. When we connect our device to a VPN server, normally our online traffic will be encrypted and our local IP address will be hided. Unfortunately, many VPN suppliers are found to leak users' local IP address, carelessly or intentionally. In order to make the best buying decision and well hide your local IP, you should learn how to check if your VPN is leaking your IP address and how to stop it. Here is how to do it.
1. Visit a site like What Is My IP Address and note down your actual ISP-provided IP address.
2. Connect to your VPN, choose an VPN server in another country and verify you're connected. Go back to What Is My IP Address and check your IP address again. You should see a new address which corresponds with your VPN and the country you selected.
3. Visit Roseler's WebRTC test page and note the IP address displayed on the page.
If both two websites show your VPN's IP address, then you're safe from IP leaking. However, if What Is My IP Address shows your VPN and the WebRTC test shows your normal IP address, then your VPN is probably leaking your ISP-provided address and you should replace it with a reliable VPN service.

How to prevent cyber crime
UK's National Crime Agency (NCA) launched a new campaign aimed at cutting cyber crime, especially amongst young people. It means to warn teen about the dangers of hacking and using online tools for cyber-attacks. Meanwhile, this campaign educates parents about the dangers of cyber crime after analysis of hacking investigations found the average age of suspects to be 17-years-old from the past year.
One of the common forms of cyber-crime is distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) attacks that can knock out websites by flooding them with data. Younger hackers have also increasingly used software called Remote Access Trojans (RATs) that allow people to remotely monitor and take full control of another computer.
Warning signs of cyber crime listed by NCA
We understand the risks associated with cyber crimes. Then how to prevent cyber crimes around us? A VPN stops websites or hackers spying on you by hiding data that could identify you. It's important to connect to VPN when you connect to the Internet from a hotel room, even over a wired connection. Your data stream can be captured by any other user of that network. If you haven't own a VPN, you can wait for Xmas VPN deals.

Google may return to China with a censored Google Play Android app store
Will Google return to China soon? According to The Information, talks between Google and Chinese government officials are underway with the hope of launching a Google Play Store in China this autumn.
Google is blocked in China
Back in 2010, Google cut operational ties with mainland China over concerns of cyberattacks and surveillance. Currently, Google’s products do not have much reach in China, as the services are not officially available. Great Firewall of China made all of Google’s services are barred or slowed. The most used method for Chinese users is using a VPN service to get access to the Google Play Store, Gmail, Google Maps and the main site.
Google VS Apple
Apple is already there with phones and an app store, after all, and China is expected to become its dominant market. While the Android operating system is hugely popular in China, very few devices have Google Play Store installed but, of course, if things go according to plan a censored Google Play Android app store would generate massive revenue for Google, providing them with a large slice of the billion dollar pie, which Apple already enjoys.
Google cooperates with Chinese copnanies
The Information reports that Google will lean heavily on partners, possibly such as Huawei, to include the Play Store with phones sold throughout China. Some devices available in China, such as those from Huawei Technologies and Samsung Electronics, officially use Google's software already. The Play Store version that would run in China will apparently only work on Android Marshmallow, according to the report.
Censored Google app store
However, if Google does re-enter the Chinese market it won't be Google Store as we know it. It will be a Chinese government-approved version – a censored Google app store. The Information reports that Google will have to agree to block apps that the Chinese government doesn't want within the country, meaning that Google will have to go back to censoring content for China.
How to change IP & avoid censorship
The China version of the Google Play store will reportedly be under different constraints than its U.S. Chinese users will continue to be affected by China's strict censorship laws, they need a VPN to change IP to avoid the censorship. The VPN not only protects online identity from snooping eyes, but to access your favourite sites and services which are often blocked by the Chinese government.

Be Aware of App Permissions Threat
With the increasing use of mobile devices for social communication, online shopping and other activities, Apps becomes common. The App permissions we agreed may threaten our data security. A VPN service can protect your privacy and fend off malicious attacks.
Most mobile users are authorizing the app to undertake what it demands. Before you download and install an app, you will be shown a list of permissions the application is requesting. Read them.
When an app requires permission to access any features on your device do remember that these permissions are unbound and the device will never ask you if the camera is being used maliciously or an app is posting to your friends social feeds.
Remember Uber? Uber’s app took sensitive personal information from each and every one of their users, while this was dangerous their entire organization had exclusive access to all user data.
Therefore, in order to protect the data, you need to establish a connection to a VPN server. FlyVPN has more than 160 servers in over 30 countries. All users take advantage of unlimited server switches, and also an unlimited traffic, you may transfer as much data as you like. What’s more, it provides free VPN accounts. It’s useful for emergency use.
